Luke Allen’s Testimony

Dear all alcoholics and addicts, my name is Luke Allen and I’m just like you.

I’m 32 yrs old and I’m from a little town called Horse Branch which is located in Ohio County, KY. I came from a hard working family and growing up I had everything I needed. But for some reason I always felt different. My parents kept me in sports, they pushed and me to make good grades in school. I actually was given all the opportunity in the world to become a successful member of society, but I always had a rebellious side to me.

When I was 13, I used for the first time and like most people I started with alcohol and weed. As I grew older I advanced to pills and my new found love, meth.

I’m from the western part of the state and as a teenager meth was always the hard drug people done! At the age of 16, I manufactured meth for the 1st time and at the age of 22 I was arrested for it. I killed a ten year sentence out in Kentucky’s prison system. Still I didn’t learn my lesson, a month after I finished my sentence I got in trouble for trafficking meth, so I had to do more time of course. When I was released in November 2018, I swore up and down I would never use again. Let me tell you folks, at that time, I still hadn’t found my rock bottom.

I blamed my recent relaspe on women, work, stress, but I never wanted to take the credit on myself! Denial, denial. By March of this year, I was down to skin and bones and wanted to simply kill myself! My arms looked like they were beat with a baseball bat and my kidneys were shutting down due to my daily diet of alcohol and meth. I didn’t know it, but I was dying! I decided to get rid of my pride and ask for help.

That’s where Isaiah House came into play. I came to Willisburg, KY a broken man, but after time I started getting my strength back, my mind clear and thinking straight and finally, most of all, I asked my Lord and savior Jesus Christ for a helping hand.

Today my life is a lot better. I am living again and I am loving life sober! I am enrolled in welding classes through Campbellsville University on Isaiah House’s campus, living in sober living and am employed. Everyone who sees this and especially the ones who are still suffering. Call Isaiah House and let God work in your life!
